In Episode 1 the team starts their journey at Cape Cross and travels to Damaraland and Kaokoland. They encounter desert elephants in the dry riverbeds of the Namib. Each night they camp under the stars, reflecting on similar experiences over the past 16 years.

In this episode, the team visits Opuwo and Rusplaas where the Dorslandtrekkers once lived. They continue their journey to the Etosha National Park and at Hein Vosloo’s camp reminisce about the interesting characters they encountered over the past 16 years.

In Episode 3 the team travels to the Khaudum Game Reserve. This is one of the last real wilderness areas in Southern Africa. There is an abundance of wildlife, especially elephants. This is also where they once more cook one of the exceptional Voetspore meals.

The team travels through the Kalahari, visiting the famous baobabs where the Dorslandtrekkers passed by in the 1870s, the Nyae Nyae pans in Namibia and the Gcwihaba caves in Botswana before ending the episode in Maun.

In Episode 5 the team travels across Botswana after visiting the Moremi Game Reserve. They camp under the stars in Sua pan before continuing their journey to the impressive Kubu Island in the middle of the Makgadigadi pan.

The team travels to Elephant Sands in Northwest Botswana for a close encounter with Elephants. This gives plenty of time for reflection on similar experiences over the past 16 years. At the end of the episode, the journey continues along Hunter’s Trail to Pandamatenga.

Episode 7 is spent in Zimbabwe where the team first revisits Hwange, then travels to the Matopos where Cecil John Rhodes was buried before going back to Sondelani where one of the team members was attacked by a leopard, 16 years ago.

Episode eight sees the team back in South Africa. The week is spent in the Limpopo Province at the Mapungubwe Hill on the banks of the Limpopo River. They receive guests as two of the wives come to visit. The episode ends at Shilo, the farm of Gideon Swart, one of the original Voetspore Team members.

This episode is spent in Venda. This was one of the original Voetspore journey’s favourite destinations. But the route first takes them past the impressive Van Coller Pass in the Soutpansberg before visiting the Fundudzi Lake and Thathe Vondo Holy Forrest.

Episode 10 sees the team visiting the Kruger before continuing their journey to the Limpopo Trans-Frontier Park in Mozambique. They also visit the Massingir Dam before re-entering the Kruger at Giriyondo.

In Episode 11 the team travels past Barberton to Swaziland via the Saddleback pass. In the Swazi Kingdom, they visit Ted Reilly’s game reserves Mlilwane, Mkaya and Hlane.

In this episode, the team returns to Mozambique. At first, they visit Santa Maria on the Bay of Maputo. Thereafter they travel through the Maputo Elephant Reserve to Ponta do Ouro.

In the final episode of the series, the team travels from Ponta do Ouro to Ndumo and St'Lucia. Like the first series, 16 years ago, this one ends on the beaches of northern KwaZulu Natal.
